2019 is shaping up to be a big year!

As many of you may have already read via our email newsletter, we recently shared some big news. In 2019 we are moving our little metalsmithing workshop. It is a big move - a long term, permanent home for Pocket Studio!

We are building our very own studio space that will be home to my art practice as well as my partner’s sculpture art practice and of course our workshops and classes. In late 2018 we moved to the beautiful historic town of Braidwood just an hours drive from Canberra. It is here that we will be building our lovely new workshop, our little corner of the world to craft and create.

We are so so excited to be undertaking this giant project, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, quite simply it is a dream come true for us.

In light of this big move and everything that it entails in the coming months, we’ve made the hard decision to postpone our workshops for the start of 2019. With a lot going on, we just felt we couldn’t commit to teaching our workshops with the energy and enthusiasm they deserve. We hope you understand and we’re excited to share our new space with you later on in the year. Whether you join us for a day workshop or make a whole weekend of it - lots of our favourite workshops will be back plus some new ones!

We can’t wait to share with you in the coming months the progress of our new space as it comes together and then begin to host some workshops in this lovely town. We are taking notes and putting together our little own guide as we discover our favourite spots in and around Braidwood, keep your eyes peeled, we hope to share this soon.
